Getting started
We shall respond to your submission with a detailed proposal that includes: issues with your website, our plans for your website, cost and payment phases, estimated completion date and more.
Our response opens a line of communication for further discussions.
Our response to your submission will include detailed information addressing the contents of your submission including our position on building your website.
We should also point out that in many cases our response/proposal is usually enough for the client to say “Sounds good, let’s begin!” but we are always open to further discussion.
It’s free.
No, but majority of clients prefer email communication because it gives them a chance to think through and send us a detailed message.
We also offer communications via zoom and Google Meet where we can schedule a call (audio only or with video) to discuss your website. With Zoom or Google Meet we are also able to share screens (if necessary) to ensure that we both understand what areas of the website is being discussed.
It’s important to point out that majority of our clients work with us via email messaging from project onset to a desired completion without a need to schedule a call.
Typical response is within 24-48 hours. However, messages sent on weekends are usually responded to the following Monday/Tuesday.
Because we will send you our response using the email address you provide when submitting a request, submitting an incorrect email address means that you will not be able to receive that response.
If you do not receive a response from us after 48-72 hours, please contact us here to give us the correct email address. You don’t need to resubmit the service request.
Website hosting and domain
For a new website, we shall recommend the most suitable website builder based on your type of services, the size of the website, required features etc.
For an existing website that needs to be redesigned or recreated, we are happy to work with the current existing builder, or use your preferred builder or recommend the most suitable builder to achieve better results.
We use a variety of website builders including WordPress, Squarespace, Godaddy, Shopify, Weebly, Wix, Webflow, and others. For more information on website builders we use, click here.
No, we don’t have to move your website if you don’t want us to. We can redesign or build a new website right from within your current hosting provider.
Any needs or reasons to move your website elsewhere will be discussed and agreed to by you as part of the project before we proceed.
Yes you will have ownership of the website. We encourage our clients to create a hosting account using their own details so that they (clients) have 100% ownership and control. We are then given limited access to work on the website while the client maintains ownership and control.
If your website is already online we can redesign it without affecting the current website or without taking the current website offline.
When discussing the project we shall advice you on a number of options to redesign your website without affecting the availability of the current website.
No, we don’t provide domain registration. You can register a domain name anywhere. During project discussion we shall advice you on the domain registrar to use and the benefits that come with it.
You don’t have to move your domain. You can keep it exactly where it is and we shall simply configure your domain DNS for use on the website. In this way your domain and other crucial services (such as emails) associated with the domain remain unaffected.
Cost and payment
Payment is made in phases. Paying by phases simply means that a the total project cost is divided into multiple phases. For example, a $900 project can be paid 3 times ($300 for each phase) at different levels/percentages of completion.
Payment is due at the beginning of each phase. We will start work on your website only after confirming payment for phase 1, and we shall only proceed to the next phase after the previous phase has been paid for.
The cost is determined by website size, website type and requirements, and the level of work to be done. Learn more about pricing.
Payment phases also known as milestones payment simply means that a total project cost is divided into multiple phases so that rather than paying all at once, you get to pay little by little per phase based on the rate of work completed.
In this way, the $1,300 (for example) cost can be paid as $400 at the beginning, another $600 at 40% completion and the remaining $300 at 98% completion.
Payment phases protect your interest because you only pay for next phase after seeing and approving of previous phase. Our clients love payment phases and so will you because if you don’t like how the project is going (extremely unlikely), you are unable to continue with the project or wish to pause for a while, etc. you can do so without paying for the remaining phases.
Usually within an hour, can be longer.
We do not offer refunds because we bill by time spent on a project. Most importantly, since you get to review each phase and only make payment for next phase when you are satisfied with previous phase, you can choose to discontinue the project if you are not satisfied with work done so far.
The Website Project
Types of content depends on the type of website. We will need texts, images and maybe videos if you have any. We will need you to put together a list of all the pages your website will have. For example: “Home, About Us, Services, Testimonials, FAQs, Financial Info, Blog, Contact Us” pages, etc.
Yes we can. We will find suitable images to use on given pages of the website. We shall also give you links to websites that you can choose your preferred images for us to use as replacements.
There are a number of ways to share your contents with us and you will be given those options when we are ready to begin.
Definitely! When submitting each phase for revision we shall ask for your thoughts on work done up to that point and also ask for your comments on changes needed. We shall make those changes and re-submit the website for another revision/changes.
We follow this trajectory until you are satisfied before we move to the next task/phase.
It depends on how large or small your website is. During project discussion, we shall give you an estimated completion date.
Yes. We design and build our websites in such a way that our clients are able to edit, update and manage the website very easily on their own, even without prior experience.
To make this even easier (and if necessary), we do make a tutorial video showing how to edit given areas of the website. But it’s important to point out that we keep the back-end very easy such that you are able to edit/update on your own.
